BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's squash team celebrated Senior Day at the Lubin Center with a 8-1 victory over Wellesley.
The Polar Bears, who bounced back from a 6-3 setback to Bates on Friday in Lewiston, improve to 6-9 this season with the victory over the Blue.
The bottom three on Bowdoin's ladder posted victories in the loss to the Bobcats, with Chloe Polikoff earning a 3-0 win at #7, Emily Simonton taking a 3-1 triumph at #8 and Alex Moreno earning a 3-1 victory at #9 to account for the Polar Bear points.
Bowdoin rolled against Wellesley, starting at #1 with Sarah Nelson winning 3-0. The Polar Bears continued to post points throughout the rest of the ladder, winning at positions #3-9 to clinch the team victory. Torrey Lee (3-0), Alden Drake (3-0), Diya Chopra (3-0), Polikoff (3-0), Simonton (3-0), Moreno (3-1) and Nicole Ampatey (3-0) were all victorious for the Polar Bears.
The team will return to action next Friday when they compete in the NESCAC Tournament at Williams. Pairings will be announced this week.
