Men's Tennis Returns to Action With Saturday Victory at Brandeis

WALTHAM, Mass. - The Bowdoin College men's tennis team came away with a win in its first northern match of the season, 6-2, Saturday over Brandeis.

The 12th-ranked Polar Bears improve to 5-4 on the season while the 24th-ranked Judges fall to 5-4. The competition was called following eight matches due to rain.

Bowdoin claimed the #2 and #3 doubles matches thanks to an 8-3 win from Chase Savage/Luke Trinka and 8-2 victory from Noah Bragg/Chris Lord.

The Polar Bears sealed the win with a quartet of dominant straight-set singles wins to clinch the match. Noah Bragg (6-2, 6-2) at #1, Sam King (6-4, 6-3) at #3, Chris Lord (6-2, 6-4) at #4 and Chase Savage (6-0, 6-4) at #6 put Bowdoin over the top. Kyle Wolstencroft was leading by a set when the match was suspended due to weather.

Bowdoin will return to the court on April 5 at MIT.
