Men's Tennis Team Dominates Singles Play in Victory Over Tufts

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's tennis team closed out its campaign with a 7-2 win over Tufts University on Friday afternoon.

The Polar Bear finish their year with a record of 12-3 while Tufts stands at 9-6 this spring.

Bowdoin grabbed a 2-1 lead in doubles play as Doug Caplan and Kyle Wolstencroft took a 9-8 (12-10) win at #1 doubles ad Chase Savage and Luke Trinika claiming a 8-0 shutout at #3. The Polar Bears won five of six singles matches to clinch the overall win.

Casey Grindon won a shortened 7-5, 1-0, ret. point at #2, Samuel King took a 6-1, 6-4 win at #3 and Chris Lord took a 6-3, 7-6 win at #4. Wolstencroft earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at #5 and Savage earned a 6-2, 6-2 victory at #6 to close out the team victory.
