Men's Tennis Earns Wednesday Road Victory at Bates

LEWISTON, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's tennis team got back on the winning track with a 6-3 win at Bates on Wednesday evening.

The Polar Bears stand at 11-3 this season and will close out their year with a home match on Friday afternoon against Tufts at 3:00 p.m.

Bowdoin held a 2-1 lead after doubles play thanks to wins at #2 and #3. Samuel King and Noah Bragg combined to take an 8-6 win at the second position while Chase Savage and Luke Trinka earned a win at the third spot.

The Polar Bears cruised to a pair of wins at #5 and #6 singles by Kyle Wolstencroft (6-0, 6-1) and Savage (6-3, 6-3) to come within a single point of victory. Bragg pulled out a three-set win at #1 (7-6, 6-7, 6-3) and Chris Lord claimed a hard-fought point at #4 (6-1, 4-6, 6-4) to clinch the match for Bowdoin.
