BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College swimming and diving teams both swept Wesleyan and Trinity on Saturday at Greason Pool.

The women's team improved to 4-1 in dual meets with a 171-122 victory over Wesleyan and 199.5-93.5 triumph over Trinity. The men's team also moved to 4-1 with the pair of wins, 205-72 over Wesleyan and 198-87 over Trinity.

In the women's meet, Kaley Kokomoor took the 50-yard freestyle (24.90) and 100 freestyle (54.71) while Katherine Foley claimed both the 200 freestyle (1:55.29) and 500 freestyle (5:11.47). Lela Garner won the 200 IM (2:13.51) while the 400 free relay team of Bridget Killian, Sarah Hirschfeld, Garner and Foley took first in 3:38.40.

Basyl Stuyvesant led the way for the Bowdoin men with wins in the 100-yard backstroke (54.69) and 200 backstroke (1:56.59). Other first-place finishes for the Polar Bears included Alex Tougas in the 1000 yard freestyle (10:31.53), John Lagasse in the 100 breaststroke (1:00.71), JR Chansakul in the 200 breaststroke (2:12.80), Ryan Peabody in the 500 freestyle (5:01.72), and Ryan Kulesza in the 200 IM (1:58.38). Tom Kramer won the one-meter diving (278.05) and three-meter diving (272.50) competitions for the Polar Bears.

In the men's relays, Bowdoin's 200 medley team of Stuyvesant, Lagasse, Kevin Koh and William Shi took first in a time of 1:37.10 while the 400 free relay squad of Lagasse, Peter Deardorff, Shi and Linc Rhodes won in 3:14.41.

Both teams will return to action at home against next Saturday, February 2 at 12:00 p.m.
