Men's Tennis Team Rolls to Conference Win on the Road at Tufts

MEDFORD, Mass. - The Bowdoin College men's tennis team rolled to its third consecutive NESCAC win by cruising past Tufts on Saturday, 8-1.

The 10th-ranked Polar Bears stand at 6-5 overall this spring and 3-1 in NESCAC play. Bowdoin will play its home opener on Tuesday afternoon against Bates at 3:00 p.m.

The Polar Bears easily swept doubles play, as the teams of Sam King/Oscar Pena (8-5), Kyle Wolstencroft/Doug Caplan (8-2) and Casey Grindon/Chris Lord (8-3) all earned convincing wins.

Bowdoin cruised to five wins in singles action, led by Lord (#2), Noah Bragg (#4) and Wolstencroft (#5) who netted straight-set victories. Casey Grindon (#3) and Doug Caplan (#6) edged their opponents in three sets.
