Amherst Edges Bowdoin in Nationally-Ranked Duel

BRUNSWICK, Maine - A late rally by the Bowdoin College men's tennis team fell short in a 5-4 loss to ninth-ranked Amherst on Saturday. The 13th-ranked Polar Bears, who trailed 4-1 before mounting a comeback to close the gap to 4-3, see their four-match winning streak snapped.

Stephen Sullivan captured Bowdoin's lone doubles point at #2 with Nicholas Fenichell before rallying from a set down to take the #1 singles match. Jamie Neely and Casey Grindon also notched singles points for the Polar Bears at #4 and #6, respectively.
