CLAREMONT, Calif. - The Bowdoin College men's tennis team earned a crucial 5-4 win over Trinity (Conn.) in a NESCAC match played in California on Wednesday. The 20th-ranked Polar Bears close out their spring trip with a record of 5-2 after their win against the 15th-ranked Bantams.

Bowdoin took two of three doubles matches, including Jamie Neely and Kent Winningham defeating the nation's seventh-ranked doubles pairing of Anson McCook and Spencer Feldman at #1. Bowdoin then earned singles wins from Casey Grindon and Adam Davis to up their lead to 4-1. After losing at #2 singles, Stephen Sullivan closed out the match with a straight-set win at #1 to clinch the win. The remaining matches were lost in super tie-breakers.

The Polar Bears will return to action on April 2 at home against MIT.
