Bowdoin Men's Sink Colby, Women Fall to Mules

COMPLETE RESULTS

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College men and Colby College women were victorious in a dual-match between the rival schools at Greason Pool on Saturday. The Polar Bear men defeated the Mules 178-106 while the Colby women defeated the Polar Bears by a score of 157-131.

Max Goldstein dominated the men's meet, posting a trio of victories for the Polar Bears. The senior earned wins in the 200 butterfly and 200 breaskstroke before proceeding to win the 400 individual medley event. Mac Routh and Nathan Mecray won multiple events, with Routh winning the 100 breaststroke and fly races and Mecray taking the 50 and 100 free events. Ian Wander doubled-up with wins in the one and three-meter diving competitions. Matt Kwan took a victory in the 200 backstroke for Bowdoin while the 200 medley relay team (Routh, Mecray, Kwan, David Swanson) was also victorious.

The women's team started the day well with a win in the 200 medley relay thanks to Erin McAuliffe, Caitlin Callahan, Emma Chiappetta and Allison Palmer. Callahan would win the 100 breaststroke, Chiappetta the 200 butterfly and Palmer the 50 free races. Liz Dann also collected a victory for Bowdoin in the 200 breaststroke.
