Bowdoin Swims Teams Compete Well at Maine-Orono

COMPLETE RESULTS

ORONO, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's and women's swimming and diving team competed at the University of Maine-Orono on Saturday in a non-scoring meet. The Polar Bears competed well against their Division I neighbors, winning several competitions on the day.

Megan Sullivan placed first in the 200 yard freestyle event for the Polar Bears while Allison Palmer won the 50 freestyle competition for Bowdoin. Caitlin Callahan won the 200 yard breaststroke, Allen Garner won the women's 100 yard freestyle, Erin McAuliffe took the 200 yard backstroke and Jessie Small claimed the 500 yard freestyle to round out the top finishers for the Polar Bear women.

Nathan Mecray and Max Goldstein both placed first in a pair of events for the Bowdoin men. Mecray won the 100 yard individual medley and 100 yard freestyle while Goldstein won the 200 yard breaststroke and 200 yard butterfly competitions. David Swanson also won the men's 50 freestyle race for the Polar Bears.

The relay squads also had several strong showings as the men's 200 yard medley relay team of Mac Routh, Mecray, Dominic Finelli and Swanson took first place. The women's 200 yard free relay team of Garner, Sullivan, Small and Palmer were also victorious while the men's 200 yard free relay squad of Mecray, Swanson, Routh and Josh Kimball were also victorious.
