Brunswick, Maine - The men's soccer team banked two first-half goals against the University of Southern Maine to earn their second win of the season. 

Game Highlights

• The Polar Bears got the scoring party started in the 15th minute as Stefan Zehnacker took a shot from the left side of the box that deflected off the USM goalie right to Masai Gordon who put the ball in the back of net.
• Right before half, Keito Ishibashi sent a high arcing pass to the right post where Jack Banks headed the ball past the goalie to put the team up 2-0.
• The teams exchanged possession during the second half, but neither team found the back of the net in the 45 minutes.

By The Numbers:

• The Polar Bears put up 9 shots on goal and only allowing 1 by the Huskies.
• The home team also earned 12-1 advantage on corner kicks.
• Oliver King got his first shutout of the season, only having to make one save in goal.
• The Polar Bears won their 17th straight game over the Huskies, bring the all time record to 37-4-3 in favor of the Bears.

• The team hosts two conference games this weekend, starting with Wesleyan University on Saturday at 12:30 p.m then Williams College at 1:30 p.m on Sunday.
