Volleyball Downs Seagulls to open Tufts Invitational

MEDFORD, Mass. – The Bowdoin College volleyball team opened the Tufts Invitational with a convincing 3-1 win over Salisbury University on Friday evening. The Polar bears elevate to 3-1 overall and while the Seagulls drop their second contest of the day to fall to 4-2.

Match Highlights

  • The teams traded the first two sets in close affairs with Salisbury claiming set one 25-23 before the Polar Bears answered in the second set with a 25-22 victory.

  • Bowdoin began to create separation with seven unanswered points to start the set before ultimately taking the third set 25-22.

  • The Polar Bears finished the match with a convincing fourth set score of 25-16.
