BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin junior defensive lineman Angus Leary (West Roxbury, Mass.) has been named a Third Team Preseason All-American by D3football.com. 

Leary, an Associated Press Division III All-American and First Team All-NESCAC performer last fall, was one of the most dominant defensive players in the league in 2025, finishing first in the conference in both tackles for loss (1.88/game) and sacks (8.5). His 8.5 sacks were eighth in a single season in program history and his 14.5 sacks through his first two seasons already stand sixth on Bowdoin's career list. Leary was the only NESCAC player to receive preseason All-American recognition from the organization. 

The Polar Bears will open their 2026 campaign on September 19 at Williams College.
