REDLANDS, Calif. — The Bowdoin College women's tennis team opened its spring break trip with a 6-1 victory over Redlands on Thursday night. The Polar Bears improved to 3-1 on the season and extended their win streak to three matches.
 
Match Highlights

• Bowdoin jumped in front by claiming the match's lone doubles point, taking two of three flights. Cara Hung and Suzanne Pogorelec earned a 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles, while Caroline Stuhlfaut and Naomi Williams added a 6-2 victory at No. 3.
• In singles, Bowdoin won five of six matches. Pogorelec secured a hard-fought win at No. 2, 6-2, 7-6(7-4), and Sun followed with a 7-5, 6-2 decision at No. 3.
• Hartung was dominant at No. 4, 6-1, 6-1, while Stuhlfaut won at No. 5, 7-6, 6-2. Julia Ross rounded out Bowdoin's scoring with a 6-1, 7-6 win at No. 6.
