Third Period Goals Sink Women's Hockey At Hamilton

CLINTON, N.Y. – The Bowdoin women's ice hockey team gave up four third period goals in a 5-2 loss at Hamilton on Friday night.

The Polar Bears drop to .500 on the season with a 9-9-0 (3-8-0 NESCAC) record. The Continentals climb to 10-6-4 (6-4-3 NESCAC).
 
Game Highlights
  • Hamilton scored less than a minute into play to take a 1-0 lead. Lydia Bullock shoved the puck in from a scramble in the crease.
  • Bowdoin tied the game midway through the frame. Molly Cataldo came flying down the right wing and found the near top corner with a no-angle wrister over Evie Sheridan's shoulder.
  • Elena DiMagno gave Bowdoin its first lead of the game, taking the puck end-to-end along the right boards. DiMagno skated right to left across the Hamilton crease and put a shot to the far post at 6:06.
  • Hamilton came out and scored a pair of quick goals in the first 1:30 of the third period, both off the stick of Sarah Myziuk.
  • Bri Rockwood made it 4-2 with 5:26 remaining in the third. An empty-netter in the final minute iced the game.
