Power Play Goals Sink Men's Hockey At Middlebury

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Bowdoin men's ice hockey team suffered a 3-2 loss at Middlebury on Friday night.
 
The Polar Bears are 10-5-1 (6-3-1 NESCAC) as the Panthers climb to 9-5-2 (5-4-1 NESCAC). The teams split the series as Bowdoin came up with a 4-0 win at home to begin the 2025-26 campaign.
 
Game Highlights
  • The Panthers struck first with a goal at 6:26. Jake Stevens fired a shot from the right point that deflected off a defender in the slot and into the net.
  • Bowdoin evened the score with 5:13 remaining in the first. Bryce Bollman collected the puck off a turnover in the Panther defensive zone and turned back on net. Bollman backhanded a shot to the far right post, making it 1-1.
  • The Polar Bears converted on a power play midway through the second to retake the lead. Michael Dinges cleaned up a rebound off Bryce Bollman's initial shot.
  • The teams continued to trade goals as the Panthers scored on a power play opportunity with 2:05 remaining in the second. Jackson Morehouse found Dante Palombo in the center of the zone for a one-timer.
  • Middlebury converted on another power play to take its first lead of the game at 7:50 in the third. Edward Moskowitz finished off a backdoor feed to put the Panthers on top.
