NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Bowdoin College women's basketball team cruised to a 67-43 NESCAC win at Connecticut College on Saturday afternoon, improving to 11-1 (2-0 NESCAC) on the season. The Camels fall to 8-6 (0-2 NESCAC) with the setback.
 
Game Highlights

• After an early deficit the Polar Bears closed the first quarter on a 13-2 run, keyed by a three-point play from Melissa Leone, to take a 23-14 edge after ten minutes of play.
• Bowdoin's defense took over from there, allowing the Camels just 29 points over the final 30 minutes of play.
• Six more points from Melissa Leone in the second quarter helped extend Bowdoin's lead to 40-26 at halftime.
• The Polar Bears continued to roll in the second half, extending their lead to as many as 28 points on their way to the win.

By The Numbers

• Grace Kinum and Abbie Quinn had 16 points apiece to lead Bowdoin in scoring, while Melissa Leone pitched in 12 points.
• Maria Belardi and Maddie Wilkin each had six rebounds in the win while Quinn added three blocks.
• Bowdoin finished at 44% shooting for the game while holding the Camels to 29%.
• The Polar Bears scored 21 points off 16 Conn College turnovers in the victory.
