Women's Soccer Sprints to Season-Opening Win Against Thomas

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College women's soccer team made quick work of Thomas College in its season opener on Wednesday evening, claiming a 9-1 win over the visiting Terriers. The Polar Bears move to 1-0-0 on the year while Thomas falls to 0-3-0 on the year.
 
Game Highlights
  • Bowdoin scored four times in the opening 11:34 to jump ahead early.
  • Kayley Huleatt scored twice in the explosive 4-0 run to start the game while Mary Rainey and Kyra Hacker each added a goal.
  • Catherine Webster, Sienna Masood, and Rylie McLaren all added goals before halftime to give Bowdoin a 7-0 cushion at the break.
  • After Thomas cashed in a penalty kick goal in the 50th minute, Bowdoin added a pair of late tallies by McLaren and Dani Musry to cap the victory.
