Men's Soccer Secures 3-3 Tie At Williams

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Tyler Huck tallied a hat trick to help the Bowdoin men's soccer team to a 3-3 tie at Williams.

The Polar Bears (4-2-2, 1-2-2 NESCAC) scored in the final minutes to salvage a tie against the 5-0-3 (4-0-2 NESCAC) Ephs.
 
Game Highlights
  • Huck started the game with a goal in the 11th minute that gave Bowdoin a 1-0 lead.
  • Huck gave Bowdoin a 2-0 lead after burying a free kick from outside the top right corner of the penalty area under ten minutes into the second half.
  • Williams stormed back with three straight goals in the next twenty minutes. Aleix Anglada took a free kick from midfield and sent the ball into Bowdoin's box. The ball bounced back and forth from defender to offenders as the Polar Bears attempted to clear, but Ben Brown deflected it down and volleyed a shot past Alex Ainsworth.
  • Lorcan Mitchell tied the game after settling the ball nearly on top of Ainsworth and finding net.
  • Williams took the lead in the 85th minute off Alex Bethencourt's header.
  • Huck found his third, and team's third, in the 89th minute with a finish on the right post.

  • Williams held an 8-6 edge in shots on goal.
  • Ainsworth ended the day with five saves. Anglada made three stops.
  • Williams lined up six corner kicks and allowed three.
