Football Falls in Road Clash at Middlebury

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Bowdoin College football team couldn't overcome Middlebury in its second straight loss to open the 2025 campaign on Saturday, falling by a score of 31-10. The Polar Bears drop to 0-2 this season while the Panthers stand at 1-1.
 
Game Highlights
  • Middlebury grabbed a 3-0 lead on a 25-yard field goal early in the first quarter but following a muffed punt, Bowdoin was able to even the score on a 36-yard boot from Caden Perry at 9:05.
  • Middlebury carried a 10-3 lead into the break as the Panthers took advantage of a short field and went 32 yards in nine plays to grab the lead for good.
  • The Panthers wore down the Polar Bear defense in the second half, scoring 21 straight points to open up a 31-3 lead by the midway point of the fourth quarter.
  • Bowdoin was able to score its first touchdown of the season in the closing minutes as Soren Hummel capped a 23-yard drive with a ten-yard run to make the final score 31-10.
