Two Quick Goals Push Polar Bears Past Connecticut College

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin women's soccer team scored a pair of rapid succession goals midway through the second half to pick up a big 2-0 win over visiting Connecticut College.
 
The Camels are winless in conference play and sit at 3-2-0 overall (0-2-0 NESCAC). Bowdoin improves to 2-1-0 (1-1-0 NESCAC).
 
Game Highlights
  • Despite outshooting the Camels 7-2 in the first half, Bowdoin entered halftime scoreless.
  • Sienna Masood put Bowdoin ahead 20 minutes into the second half. Maia Kafer punted the ball to midfield for the Camels, only to see Bowdoin win the ball and work back up the right side of the field. Kayley Huleatt took the ball toward the end line and crossed a pass up to the top of the box. Masood ran on and put a left footed shot to the far right post.
  • Barley a minute later, Huleatt scored. Kyra Hacker served the ball into the box from midfield. Stephanie Christianson had the first touch and popped the ball to Mary Rainey's head. From Rainey's head, Huleatt connected midair with the ball and put it past Kafer.

  • Bowdoin earned three corner kicks and allowed one.
