Women's Tennis Bows To Wesleyan In NESCAC Semifinals

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Bowdoin women's tennis team saw its NESCAC post-season come to an end in a 4-2 semifinal setback to Wesleyan on Saturday morning.
 
The Polar Bears (15-5) will wait for NCAA seeding to be announced on Monday to see where the season goes next weekend. The Cardinals advance to the NESCAC Championship match with an 18-2 overall record.
 
Match Highlights
  • Bowdoin won the doubles point after Zoe Sun and Bella Hartung went 6-4 at #2 and Jamilah Karah combined with Caroline Stuhlfaut finished for the same result at #1.
  • Suzanne Pogorelec and Cara Hung were up 5-4 at #3 when the match was suspended.
  • Wesleyan took a quick 4-1 lead after taking doubles wins at #2, #1, and #4.
  • Hartung earned Bowdoin's second point with a 7-5, 6-0 win at #5.
  • Bowdoin could not find two more wins.
