Anika Ewert was named NESCAC Defensive Player of the Year, leading a trio of Polar Bear softball players in post-season awards at the conclusion of the 2025 season.

Anika Ewert (Newport Coast, Calif.) was a First Team selection. Teammates
Chloe Garcia (Bakersfield, Calif.) and
Kyla Gary (San Diego, Calif.) were named Second Team picks.
Ewert repeats as a First Team selection after being named Player of the Year in 2024. The junior was second in the conference in batting average (.490), second in on base percentage (.523), and first in both runs scored (46) and hits (71). In 148 plate appearances, the junior did not strike out once. Ewert again led the league in stolen bases with 36.
Chloe Garcia provided power in the middle of Bowdoin's lineup and compiled a .588 slugging percentage and ranked third in the conference with 38 RBI. Garcia tallied nine doubles and sat third in the conference with six home runs.
Gary earned her first all-conference award in her final season as a Polar Bear. The senior outfielder was second on the team with a .396 batting average and 42 hits. Both numbers put her in the top-ten of the conference. Gary's .407 on base percentage was also second on the team.
