Men's Tennis Suffers Tough Road Weekend Results

AMHERST, Mass. – The Bowdoin College men's tennis team suffered a pair of close NESCAC losses in a tough road weekend, falling to Hamilton and Amherst in consecutive days. The defeats drop the Polar Bears to 11-3 (5-3 NESCAC).
 
Weekend Highlights
  • Hamilton took a 5-2 win on Saturday and Amherst took a 4-3 victory on Sunday.
  • Bowdoin trailed 1-0 after doubles play against Hamilton despite a 6-1 win from Aden Dorros/Mick Tamas.
  • The Polar Bears got their two points from wins courtesy of Mark Kneiss (7-5, 7-5) and Kiran Garapati (6-7, 6-2, 6-3).
  • Mark Kneiss/Jackson Codd won their doubles match against Amherst (6-3), but Bowdoin trailed 1-0 again entering singles play.
  • Kneiss (6-2, 4-6, 7-5), Pieter Breuker (7-5, 7-6), and Kiran Garapati (3-6, 6-3, 6-4) all won their singles matches but Amherst hung on to win thanks to a pair of three-set triumphs.
