Fourth Quarter Rally Pushes Babson Past Women's Lacrosse

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Babson College women's lacrosse team used a three-goal run in the fourth quarter to pull away for a 12-10 win at Bowdoin on Sunday afternoon. The Beavers improve to 10-2 this season while the Polar Bears fall to 6-7.
 
Game Highlights
  • Bowdoin jumped to a 4-1 lead out of the gate thanks to a pair of goals from Molly Reed in the opening quarter.
  • The Polar Bears extended their lead to 7-3 midway through the second quarter, before Babson scored a pair of goals right before halftime to trim the deficit to 7-5 at the break.
  • The Beavers quickly deadlocked the contest out of the gate in the third quarter with a pair of goals and the teams exchanged the lead into the final frame and, following a Miya Imaeda goal with 10:41 remaining, were tied 10-10 with 10:41 remaining.
  • Babson scored three unanswered goals in a span of 3:08, with the final tally coming from Charleigh Newman with 2:41 on the clock, giving the visitors a 12-9 lead.
  • Bowdoin got one back from Grace Harvey with 1:36 on the clock but could get no closer.
