BRUNSWICK, Maine – Bowdoin men's basketball first-year
Ray Cuevas (Ipswich, Mass.) has named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year in conference honors announced on Thursday.
Cuevas enjoyed a fantastic rookie campaign that saw him lead Bowdoin, and rank seventh overall in the NESCAC in scoring, at 15.5 points per game, and 17.4 in conference play. He connected on a team-high 51 three-pointers, averaged 3.7 rebounds and led Bowdoin in scoring in 17 of 24 games this year.
Cuevas is just the second Polar Bear to garner NESCAC Rookie of the Year honors, joining Jack Simonds in 2016.
