Women's Lacrosse Runs Away From Huskies in Non-Conference Win

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College women's lacrosse team cruised to its first win of the season, 19-2, over the University of Southern Maine on Tuesday night at Ryan Field. The Polar Bears improve to 1-1 while the Huskies fall to 1-2.
 
Game Highlights
  • Miya Imaeda scored a pair of early goals for the Polar Bears, who led 3-2 after 5:27 of play, but then held USM scoreless for the remaining 54:33 on their way to the win.
  • Bowdoin scored the final five goals of the opening quarter to lead 8-2, scoring on a goal from Courtney McKenna is the closing seconds of the period.
  • The Polar Bears quickly pushed the game into running time late in the second quarter, leading 12-2 at the break and outscoring USM 7-0 in the second half.
