Continentals Close Out Women's Lacrosse In Saturday Matchup

CLINTON, N.Y. – The Bowdoin women's lacrosse team played to a tight 13-9 loss at Hamilton on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Polar Bears are 4-5 with an 0-5 NESCAC record. The win is the first conference win for the Continentals (3-4, 1-4 NESCAC).
 
Game Highlights
  • Hamilton scored first, but Molly Reed answered with a tally at 10:32 while the Polar Bears had a player-up advantage.
  • The Continentals rattled off three straight goals before Reed scored her second of the quarter to make it 4-2 at the end of 15 minutes.
  • After Hamilton opened the second with a pair of quick goals, Bowdoin scored four straight to make it 6-6. Reed and Molly Burke both had two goals.
  • Hamilton closed out the first half with two goals in the final minute.
  • Both teams scored three goals in the third, but Hamilton came up with two unanswered goals in the fourth.

  • Reed scored four goals, while Burke added three and an assist.
  • Reed scooped up seven draw controls.
  • Grace Harvey had three caused turnovers and Kate Mautz added three ground balls.
  • Hannah Rubin made a pair of saves in 40 minutes. Sophie Brett made one stop in the final 20 minutes.
