Men's Lacrosse Outpaces MIT In Tuesday Action

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The MIT Engineers led after the first quarter but Bowdoin stormed back to earn a commanding 20-7 win on Tuesday night.
 
The Polar Bears remain perfect at 6-0 and drop the Engineers to 3-3.
 
Game Highlights
  • MIT led 3-1 after the first quarter. Bowdoin took a narrow lead early in the second off a pair of Chris Berry goals and a Casey Ryan tally.
  • Oscar Lindenthal tied the game at 4-4 at the halfway mark, and the Polar Bears ran away through the remainder of the second. Ryan scored two more goals while Ryan Winters and Jason Lach each pitched in one.
  • Colin Campbell opened the third quarter with another Bowdoin goal that was answered by MIT. Bowdoin went on to score 11 straight goals to close out the third and begin the fourth.
  • MIT scored the last two goals of the game.
 
By the Numbers
  • Fitzgerald scored a team-high seven goals.
  • With four goals against MIT, Jason Lach tied the program record for career goals with 177.
  • Ryan Casey dished out six assists and added three goals.
  • Beau Burns went 10-for-18 on faceoffs. Cam Wietfeldt was 6-for-10.
  • Robert Hobbs made four saves in 52 minutes of play. Alec Delgado stopped three saves in the final eight minutes.
