Baseball Stays Perfect With Offensive Showing Against Saint Lawrence

DAVENPORT, Fla. – The Bowdoin baseball team remained hot with a 16-5 victory over St. Lawrence on Sunday afternoon.
 
The Polar Bears continue their historic start to climb to 9-0 and drop the Saints to 3-4.
 
Game Highlights
  • Bowdoin went up three in the top of the first, beginning with a Kevin Murray RBI single and Liam Foley two-run single.
  • The Saints answered in the bottom half of the inning with one run.
  • Will Bordes launched a solo shot over the right field fence in the second and added a two-run single in the third.
  • Saint Lawrence got a pair of runs in the third to cut the deficit to 7-3.
  • The Polar Bears exploded for a seven-run fourth inning to put the game out of reach.
  • Cal Thompson got the scoring started with a bases-loaded walk.
  • Reuben Siegel added a two-run single to center and Bordes cleared the bases for a three-run homer to left.
  • Murray made it back-to-back home runs.
  • Will Cooke tagged an RBI triple in the fifth and Grant Collins rounded out the scoring with a sacrifice fly to plate Cooke.
  • The Saints got a pair of RBI singles in the fifth but could not catch the Polar Bears.

  • Bordes was 3-for-4 with six RBI.

  • Bowdoin's pitching staff allowed ten hits and five earned runs with four walks and 11 strikeouts. Luca McKerley Coronado recorded five of the team's strikeouts.
