Second Half Surge Pushes Camels Past Polar Bears

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's lacrosse team pinned a 15-6 setback on Bowdoin on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Camels (3-2, 1-2 NESCAC) picked up their first conference win of the season. The Polar Bears are 3-3 with an 0-3 NESCAC record.
 
Game Highlight
  • The Camels scored three goals in the first quarter and kept the Polar Bears off the board.
  • Grace Harvey scored the first goal for Bowdoin late in the second to make it 3-1 only to see Connecticut College answer a minute later. Lauren Burke cut the lead in half in the final seconds before halftime.
  • Connecticut College scored four straight goals to begin the third quarter before another Burke goal.
  • The teams combined for nine goals in the fourth quarter, but only three were in favor of the Polar Bears.
 
By the Numbers
  • Kate Coughlin scored six goals for the Camels.
  • Burke accounted for two Bowdoin goals. Miya Imaeda recorded one goal and two assists.
  • Hannah Rubin made nine stops for the Polar Bears.
