Men's Lacrosse Rolls Past Camels For NESCAC Win

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin men's lacrosse team cruised to a 22-12 win over Connecticut College on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Polar Bears remain perfect with a 5-0 overall record and 3-0 NESCAC record. The Camels are 2-2 (1-2 NESCAC).
 
Game Highlights
  • The Camels struck first 28 seconds into the game, but Bowdoin rattled off five straight goals to take the lead. The teams combined for 11 first quarter goals as the Polar Bears led 8-3 heading into the second.
  • Connecticut College scored the first goal of the second quarter followed by a pair of Patrick Fitzgerald goals and a Jason Lach goal. The teams traded scores in the final two minutes of the stanza.
  • Nick McLaughlin scored the first goal of the first, second, and third quarters. Lach answered a minute later followed by an Aidan McAvoy goal. Bowdoin scored three more goals to make it 16-7 before McAvoy closed out the quarter with an unassisted tally.
  • Bowdoin outscored the Camels 6-4 in the final frame.
