Women's Basketball Caps Historic Regular Season With Win at Trinity

HARTFORD, Conn. – The Bowdoin College women's basketball team completed the third perfect regular season in program history, pulling away from Trinity in the fourth quarter of a 57-37 win on Saturday afternoon.

The Polar Bears (24-0, 10-0 NESCAC), ranked third in the latest Division III poll, join the 2004 and 2019 editions who also posted undefeated regular seasons. Bowdoin is the first team since Tufts in 2020 to go a perfect 10-0 in NESCAC play, and it is the sixth unbeaten NESCAC campaign all-time for the Polar Bears (2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2019, 2025).

  • Bowdoin led 15-8 after one quarter of play thanks to eight points from Grace Kinum, including six in the final 1:25 of the frame.
  • Trinity played the Polar Bears even in the second quarter as Bowdoin entered halftime with the same seven-point advantage, 29-22.
  • The squads traded buckets throughout the third, with Trinity drawing within three points on two occasions, but getting no closer.
  • Abbie Quinn put all thoughts of a Trinity comeback to rest with a personal 8-0 run to start the fourth quarter, pushing Bowdoin's lead into double digits and sparking an 11-1 run to start the period.
  • The Polar Bears defense took care of the rest, holding Trinity to 1-10 from the field and just five points in the final ten minutes of play.
