Women's Hockey Can't Complete Comeback In 5-2 Loss Against Camels

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Bowdoin women's hockey team suffered its fifth straight loss in a 5-2 game at Connecticut College on Friday night.
The Polar Bears slide to 13-7-0 (7-6-0 NESCAC). The Camels are 10-10-1 with a 6-8-1 conference record.
  • Game Highlights
    The Camels went ahead 1-0 late in the first period with a back post pass to Serena Seiple on the right. Seiple worked the puck to her forehand and put the puck to the far side with 2:22 remaining in the frame.
  • Connecticut College doubled its lead midway through the second. Bridgett McGann took a shot from the right point and Charlotte Harris stuffed in through from in front
  • Alana Burm scored less than 30 seconds later with a breakaway move pulling left and back across her body to the right for a finish.
  • The Camels scored two third period goals in the first ten minutes to take a commanding 5-0 lead before the Polar Bears broke through.
  • Bowdoin won the center ice faceoff and Emma Merrill skated into the zone and fired off a wrister from the left side to make it 5-1.
  • Four minutes later, Kiley Briand deflected a cross by Anyi Sun to make it 5-2.
