Women's Hockey Skates To Codfish Bowl Championship Win

BOSTON, Mass. – The Bowdoin women's ice hockey team captured the 2025 Codfish Bowl Championship with a 4-1 win over Manhattanville on Sunday afternoon.
 
The Polar Bears improve to 5-2-0 and drop the Valiants to 2-5-1.
 
Game Highlights
  • Bowdoin jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the first period and never looked back, with all three goals coming in the final ten minutes of the frame.
  • Ava Provenzo got the Polar Bears started with a tally at 11:30 with helpers from Elena DiMagno and Elizabeth Kent.
  • Bella Mele added a goal four minutes later. Kendrick LaPrade rounded out the period with her first collegiate goal with 1:58 remaining with assists from classmates Sofia Nesvold and Molly Cataldo.
  • Bowdoin put ten shots on net in the second period, but Olivia Cimorelli kept the Polar Bears off the board for the frame.
  • The Valiants found a power play goal midway through the third to spoil the shutout, but Bea Palmer pushed Bowdoin's lead back to three with a tally at 16:26.
