Box Score BEVERLY, Mass. – The Bowdoin men's ice hockey team suffered its first loss of the season in a 4-2 setback at Endicott on Tuesday evening.
 
The Polar Bears are 3-1-0 on the season, while the Gulls sit at 4-1-1

Game Highlights

• The Gulls broke the scoreless deadlock nearly six minutes into the final frame. Noah Gibbs carried into the deep right corner behind Bowdoin's net and made a cross-ice pass toward the back post. The puck deflected off a defender in front and took a bounce past Jacob Osborne.
• Bowdoin found an equalizer five minutes later. Isaac Abbott passed to Louie Marcellino along the right boards, freeing up Marcellino to skate into the zone with space. Marcellino centered the puck back to Abbott who put a shot over the goalie's shoulder.
• Endicott responded a minute later to regain the lead on the power play. After cycling around the zone, Primo Self took a shot from the right point and Jack Costanzo deflected the puck on the left post.
• The hosts added two empty-net goals in the final minutes to ice the Polar Bears, but Jayson Alegria came up with his first collegiate goal on a nice shot from the right side.

• Endicott held a 37-24 edge in shots on goal.
• Osborne stopped 33 shots and the Polar Bears allowed two empty-netters.
• Peter Sterling stopped 22 shots.
• Bowdoin went 0-for-2 on the power play.
