Women's Basketball Earns Road Win at Skidmore

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Bowdoin College women's basketball team rode a dominant first half to coast to a 68-46 win at Skidmore on Saturday afternoon. The Polar Bears move to 3-0 on the season while the Thoroughbreds stand at 1-2 this year.
 
Game Highlights
  • Bowdoin never trailed, jumping to a 10-5 lead after four minutes of play. A pair of buckets late in the quarter by Abbie Quinn pushed the lead to double digits, 22-12.
  • The Polar Bears poured it on in the second quarter, outscoring Skidmore 19-6 to push their lead to 41-18 at the break.
  • Five straight points by Payton Collins sparked the dominant quarter, as Bowdoin scored 19 of the first 22 points of the period to pull away.
  • The Polar Bears led by as many as 29 points in the second half on their way to the win.

  • Abbie Quinn finished with 17 points and six rebounds in 20 minutes of play, shooting 7-12 from the field.
