BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College football team placed three members on the All-New England Small College Athletic Conference team in selections announced by the league on Wednesday.
Sophomore defensive lineman
Angus Leary (West Roxbury, Mass.) was named a First Team All-NESCAC selection with senior offensive lineman
Tyler Larson (Ramsey, N.J.) and junior punter
Caden Perry (Houston, Texas) earning Second Team selections.
Leary was one of the most dominant defensive players in the league this season, finishing first in the conference in both tackles for loss (1.88/game) and sacks (8.5). His 8.5 sacks were 8
th in a single season in program history and his 14.5 sacks through his first two seasons already stand sixth on Bowdoin's career list.
Tyler Larson earns his first All-Conference honor following another outstanding year on the Bowdoin offensive line. A versatile player, Larson was credited with 25 pancake blocks this season, started for three years on the Polar Bear line, and played every position, as needed, during his career.
Caden Perry becomes the first Bowdoin punter honored in All-NESCAC awards since 2008 (Nolan McNair) after a season that saw him rank second in the conference in yards per punt (40.8), including six that traveled 50+ yards and a league-best 26 dropped inside the opponent's 20. His 2,449 yards punting were the school's single-season record.
