BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College volleyball team completed a perfect NESCAC weekend with a 3-1 win over Hamilton on Saturday at Morrell Gymnasium. The Polar Bears move to 9-6 (2-2 NESCAC) while the Continentals fall to 3-8 (0-5 NESCAC).
 
Match Highlights

• The Polar Bears prevailed by set scores of 26-24, 23-25, 27-25, 25-17.
• The first three sets went down to the wire, as Bowdoin staved off set points and finished on a 5-0 run – thanks to kills from Alison Smith and Haley Campau – to take the first set 26-24.
• After Hamilton claimed the second set to knot the score, Bowdoin fended off another set point in the third, and closed on a 3-0 surge, including kills from Mina Mittler and Smith, to take a 27-25 win.
• Down 8-5 in the fourth, the Polar Bears used a 7-2 run to take the lead on their way to a 25-17 victory and the match.

By The Numbers

• Alison Smith had a career-high 19 kills to lead the Polar Bear offense while Skye LaMendola had 14 kills and 13 digs.
• Haley Campau had eight kills and no errors while also contributing three blocks.
• Cameron Shelly had 39 assists, 11 digs, and two aces while Anna Yeh had 19 digs and two aces.
