Polar Bears Pounce On Bobcats in 3-0 Women's Soccer Win

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin women's soccer team pinned a 3-0 setback on visiting Bates on Tuesday evening.
 
The Polar Bears cruised to the win and improve to 10-3-0 (5-3-0 NESCAC). The Bobcats remain winless in conference play and sit at 4-6-3 (0-6-2 NESCAC).
 
Game Highlights
  • Bowdoin struck first in the 11th minute. Kayley Huleatt worked the ball to Mary Rainey in the middle for a quick shot on goal to go ahead 1-0.
  • With under ten minutes remaining in the first half, Kendall Hacker set up Kyra Hacker for a tally. Kendall took a corner kick from the left side and found Kyra in the middle for a header.
  • The pair combined again seven minutes later to recreate the same play and tally a second Hacker to Hacker goal on a corner kick.

  • Bowdoin owned a 12-7 edge in shots on goal and 15-13 overall shots advantage.
  • The Polar Bears took four corner kicks, scoring on two, and allowed only one.
  • Charlotte Iannone made seven saves in the shutout.
