Bantams Blow Past Polar Bears On Friday Night

HARTFORD, Conn. – The Bowdoin men's ice hockey team suffered a 5-1 loss at Trinity on Friday evening.
 
The Polar Bears slip to 5-8-0 (3-5-0 NESCAC). The Bantams climb to 9-3-1 (5-1-1 NESCAC).
 
Game Highlights
  • The Bantams took control early with a goal at 3:47 in the first to go ahead 1-0. Connor Sedlak carried down the slot and skated left before dishing right to Alexander Mozian for a one-timer.
  • A misplay by Bowdoin in the defensive end on the power play allowed Ty Broad to finish midway through the second.
  • Bowdoin broke through at 10:11 in the third. Luke Wheeler forced a turnover and turned back toward the net, skating toward the left post. Wheeler bested Devon Bobak from near range.
  • Trinity answered less than a minute later, to push the lead to 3-1. Spencer Korona skated down the left side and beat Jacob Osborne with a wrister to the top right corner.
  • The Bantams scored two empty-netters to extend their lead.

  • Both teams went 0-for-3 on the power play.
  • The Bantams held a slight 35-30 edge in faceoffs.
  • Jacob Osborne made 24 saves in the loss.
  • Bobak made 26 stops for Trinity.
