Second Half Goal Sinks Women's Soccer at Home Against Hamilton

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin women's soccer team battled Hamilton in a 2-1 loss on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Polar Bears are still searching for their first conference win and sit at 1-3-3 (0-3-0 NESCAC). The Continentals collect their first NESCAC win to climb to 4-2-2 (1-2-2 NESCAC).
 
Game Highlights
  • Bowdoin scored first in the 15th minute to go ahead 1-0. Kayley Huleatt teed up a free kick from the middle of Hamilton's end. Jackie Shores elevated for a header to put the ball in the net.
  • Hamilton responded three minutes later to tie the game off the foot of Isabel Harvey.
  • Bowdoin had multiple quality scoring opportunities in final minutes as the first half but was unable to convert on open looks on net.
  • With 15 minutes remaining in the game, Hamilton took its first lead of the game. Olivia Zubarik found Erin Rayhill who made a quick move and launched a shot to the top left corner.
  • Bowdoin continued to earn promising looks in the box but could not find the net.
