McLaren Scores In Final Minute To Lift Women's Soccer to 1-1 Tie

BRUNSWICK, Maine – Rylie McLaren scored in the final minute to lift the Bowdoin women's soccer team to a 1-1 tie against visiting Babson on Friday night.

The Polar Bears are 1-2-3 on the season as the Beavers sit at 2-3-1.

Game Highlights
  • Kyra Hacker had a promising look for the Polar Bears as she narrowly missed with a left-footed boot over the crossbar in the 20th minute.
  • Four minutes later, Jordyn Ferrantino headed a ball to the left post that required Charlotte Iannone to make a diving save to keep the game scoreless.
  • Sofia Rua earned a breakaway opportunity in the final ten minutes of the half and looked to put away a right-footed shot that Babson keeper Nora Ryan laid out to deny.
  • The Beavers took the 1-0 lead in the 70th minute. Iannone made a save on Josie Lee's initial shot, but Janiya Ocampo put away the rebound.
