BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Husson University softball team won a pair of tightly-played games, sweeping a doubleheader from Bowdoin on Tuesday evening, 3-1 and 3-2. The Eagles move to 26-4 on the season while the Polar Bears fall to 23-13.

Game One Highlights
  • Husson scored a pair of runs in the seventh inning to take game one by a score of 3-1.
  • After the Eagles took the lead with a single run in the fourth, Bowdoin knotted the game in the bottom of the sixth when Anika Ewert singled, stole second and third, and came home on a ground ball from Penelope Fong-Picariello.
  • Husson answered with a pair of runs in the seventh to come away with the win.
  • Danielle Masterson (8-1) earned the win for Husson, tossing a complete game and allowing just one earned run and striking out five.
  • Maddie Current (8-4) took the tough-luck loss for the Polar Bears, permitting three runs across seven innings of work with six strikeouts.
  • Ewert had three of Bowdoin's five hits, going 3-3 with a run scored and three stolen bases.
Game Two Highlights
  • Bowdoin took the early lead in game two as Chloe Garcia brought home Ewert with a single in the first inning.
