Women's Lacrosse Uses Balanced Attack to Net Big Road Win at Williams

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Bowdoin College women's lacrosse team picked up a huge conference road win on Saturday, defeating Williams 10-6 at Farley-Lamb Field. The Polar Bears move to 8-5 (4-4 NESCAC) while the Ephs fall to 7-5 (3-5 NESCAC).
 
Game Highlights
  • After Williams took an early 1-0 lead, the Polar Bear defense dominated, holding the Ephs to one goal for the 31:39 of game play, stretching from the first quarter until the third.
  • With the contest tied at 2-2 at the 5:02 mark of the opening frame, Bowdoin proceeded to score the next five goals – including two apiece from Molly Reed and Ellie Schofield – to take a 7-2 lead early in the third quarter.
  • Williams found its footing and closed the gap to 8-5 with a 3-1 run, but back-to-back goals from Ainsley Ramsey in a span of 90 seconds in the fourth quarter put the contest away.

  • The Polar Bears will return home for their final two games of the regular season, including Senior Day on Saturday, April 20 at Ryan Field against Wesleyan University at noon.
