BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College women's lacrosse team fell behind early and couldn't rally in a 16-3 loss to top-ranked Middlebury on Saturday afternoon. The Polar Bears fall to 0-2 on the season with the loss.
 
Game Highlights

• The Panthers scored the first nine goals of the game to build a 9-0 edge following one quarter of play.
• Bowdoin was able to score twice in the second quarter, but the Panthers still owned a 10-2 edge at the break.
• The Polar Bears could only muster one goal in the second half as they couldn't mount a second half rally in their second defeat of the season.

By The Numbers

• Sophia Sudano, Lauren Burke, and Annie Moore each scored a goal for Bowdoin.
• Sophie Brett made eight saves in 45 minutes for Bowdoin before giving way to Caroline Clinton, who made one stop in 15 minutes of action.

Up Next

• Bowdoin will head to Florida next week for a pair of contests, against Springfield on Tuesday and Westfield State on Wednesday. Both games will be played in Panama City Beach.
