PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. – The Bowdoin College women's lacrosse team rallied in the second half for its first win of the season, defeating Springfield 11-9 on Tuesday afternoon in Florida. The Polar Bears (1-2) deal the Pride (4-1) its first loss of the season with the victory.
 
Game Highlights

• Springfield jumped ahead early, building a 5-2 lead midway through the second quarter of Tuesday's contest.
• A Sophia Sudano goal with 8:07 left in the second quarter trimmed Springfield's lead to 5-3 at the break.
• After a Pride goal pushed their lead back to 6-3, Bowdoin rolled off a 4-1 surge, sparked by two Grace Harvey goals, and tied the game on a score by Annie Moore with 6:59 left in the third frame.
• Springfield replied with two goals to regain the lead, but Moore beat the buzzer in the third to cut the lead to 8-7 heading into the fourth.
• From there, it was all Bowdoin, as Ellie Schofield tied the game, Lauren Burke put Bowdoin on top with 7:10 left, and Moore gave Bowdoin a two goal cushion just a minute later on their way to the win.

• Annie Moore scored a hat trick for Bowdoin while Sophia Sudano, Lauren Burke, and Grace Harvey had two scores each.
• Sophie Brett (21:53, one save), Caroline Clinton (15:00, two saves), and Izzy Cisneros (23:07, three saves) split time in net for the Polar Bears, who held Springfield scoreless for the final 19:18 of the game.
• Emelia Krakora had a team-high seven draw controls while Harvey added four.
• Elinor Applebaum had two caused turnovers and two ground balls for the Polar Bears.
