Women's Lacrosse Extends Winning Streak With Victory Over Hamilton

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College women's lacrosse team rolled to its fourth straight win, 15-9, over visiting Hamilton College on Saturday afternoon at Ryan Field. The Polar Bears (6-3, 2-3 NESCAC) have won six of their last seven matches overall. Hamilton falls to 3-4 (2-3 NESCAC) on the season.

Game Highlights
  • Bowdoin took an early 3-0 edge thanks to a pair of first quarter goals from Molly Reed, sandwiched around a score from Emelia Krakora.
  • Hamilton used a 4-1 surge early in the second quarter to deadlock the score at 4-4 late in the frame, but goals from Annie Bermingham and Molly Reed shortly before halftime gave the hosts a 6-4 edge at the break.
  • The Polar Bears took command with an explosive five-goal run to open the second half, getting three straight goals from Lauren Burke and increasing their edge to 11-4.
  • Hamilton could get no closer than five goals after that, as Bowdoin's defense- led by goaltender Izzy Cisneros – locked down the Continentals for much of the second half.
