Swimming Returns Home With Pair of All-Americans After NCAA Championship

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Bowdoin sent nine swimmers to the 2024 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships to race against the best Division III competitors in the country.
 
Meet Highlights
 
  • Alex Grand'Pierre broke his own school record in the 100 breaststroke to finish as an All-American in fifth place with a time of 53.50.
  • Tatum Zupnik became an All-American in the 50 free, finishing 7th, and set a new school record in the prelims with a 23.02. Zupnik also PR'ed in the 100 butterfly (56.46) and the 100 freestyle (51.41).
  • Elizabeth Walsh narrowly missed out on qualifying for the consolation finals in the 400 IM, finishing just .04 off the 16th-place finisher.
  • Bowdoin saw a pair of relay teams qualify for the consolation finals and finish in the top-16 in the country. The efforts of Jack Tran, Alex Grand'Pierre, Raphael Grand'Pierre, and Steve Ward finished 14th in the 400 medley relay with a. time of 3:18.70.
  • The Grand'Pierre brothers and Tran were joined by Micah Sher in the 400 free relay for a 13th place finish and a time of 3:00.69.
