Men's Tennis Finishes as Runners-up at Stag-Hen Invitational

CLAREMONT, Calif. – The Bowdoin College men's tennis team fell to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in a nail biting finish to the 2024 Stag-Hen Invitational on Saturday, 4-3.
 
The sixth-ranked Polar Bears (7-1) suffer their first defeat of the season while seventh-ranked CMS improves to 8-3 this year.
 
Match Highlights
  • Claremont won two of three doubles matches to claim the one team point entering singles play. Ethan Bradley/Jackson Codd (7-6) earned a doubles win for the Polar Bears.
  • Tristan Bradley continued his torrid spring, earning a 6-1, 6-3 win at number one singles.
  • Andrew Mendelson (7-6, 2-6, 6-3) and Mick Tamas (2-6, 7-5, 7-6) won a pair of hard-fought matches at number five and six to put Bowdoin on the brink of the win.
  • The match came down to number four, between Ethan Bradley and CMS's Anirudh Gupta. Gupta used a late rally to take a three-set thriller 6-7, 7-5, 7-5.
